Somebody Cool

It's that time of day when I really need to take a break from working, so I decided to post some pictures. I spent most of yesterday at various wedding events for one of my best friends. It was cool to be able to go to their sealing, and then to be able to share the rest of the day with them. While at the reception, Jared and I got to hang out with his sister Mikell. Me and Kell have been friends for about two years, and she was basically the reason why Jared and I even met and started dating. I just wanted to let her know how much I love her and appreciate her friendship, she's the best and I'm lucky to have such a great friend, not to mention sister-in-law!

Thanks for being so dang awesome Kell! I guess I'd better update everybody on the latest news. . . Most of it has to do with our dang car. The other day I was up in Pleasant Grove tutoring some kids and out of nowhere the battery in my car decides to die on me! So I was chillin there in this neighborhood (in the shade luckily) waiting for Jared to come and rescue when all of a sudden I have to go to the bathroom really really bad! Haha, it's funny to think about it now, but at the time I wanted to die! I was seriously like jumping up and down trying not to go and praying that either 1- Jared would get there quick so we could jump my stupid car and book it to the closest gas station, or 2- that this urgent need to go to the bathroom would pass before I made myself a public embarrassment! Well luckily my pray was answered and my bodily symptoms passed. Soon after that Jared came and we took the car to good ol' Checker Auto Parts. About twenty minutes later and 85 bucks poorer we left.

The next day I took the Civ over to get the windshield replaced since we had a huge crack in it, a very cheap 170 dollars for that sucker. That same night, Kell and I went over to our friend's Bachelorette party at a restaurant on University Avenue. Since parking around there is kind of stupid, we decided to park in a parking lot across the street. Now I've parked in this lot many times before whenever I was going to a show at the Muse no problem. Well this particular night was cursed or something because we walked out of the restaurant and my car was gone! It had gotten towed (after hours mind you!) by some dudes who claimed it didn't matter if it was after hours, they were still contracted to cruise around Provo looking for violators! Kell took me over to the place to get my car, and by the time we got there I was pretty bugged about the whole thing, especially the fact that you couldn't even find their stupid business because their lot was hidden behind a huge wall of tall bushes! Finally we found the place and the guys took me back to their office so I could pay the 133 dollar fee (yuck!). At this point it was like 10 o'clock at night and I realized that these poor dudes probably had to pull all nighters every time they came to work, and it would really blow to have to work that job. I started to feel bad for them which totally made my temper loose steam. I guess that was probably a good thing because there wasn't anything I could do about it at that point. After paying the fee and driving home and I had to tell Jared about the great news. I wouldn't say he got really mad or anything, but it definitely wasn't one my favorite conversations with him. I felt pretty horrible that I had been stupid, so I went and got ready for bed and then hid in our room so I could shed a tear or two without him noticing. He came in a couple of minutes later and was super cute and sweet. He told me it didn't matter and cuddled with me and told me he loved me. It made me realize again how incredibly lucky I am to have married such a great guy! Well that's the end of our crazy car stories for this week. . . 380 dollars down the drain, but hopefully we won't have to spend any more money on it for a while!

Oh, that is so sad. I hate spending money on the car...but it seems like that is where all our money ends up these days. Glad Jared is so awesome.

Bird, bird, bird... what a mess! I get so fired up when I have to waste money on stupid things like that. Ahh... it's such a waste! But, I'm glad all is well and the civvy is back home and running. I just posted a bunch of new pics of Mr. Big. He has got to be the cutest six month old you've ever seen!
